Job Description
This Manager role in go-to-market and sales strategy sits within Meesho AI Services (MAS), the unit that builds and runs AI-led service workflows for businesses. The posting describes MAS as focused on process-defined, repeatable work, such as inbound contact-centre calls, chats and tickets, and cost-oriented outbound tasks like lead qualification and verification. Pricing is linked to cost savings the client already feels. The role is based in Mumbai.
The post is a generalist sales position. The holder owns the middle stage of the sales cycle, which is the period between a qualified first conversation and a deal that is ready to close. Work includes structured discovery, working out who actually makes decisions inside a client organisation, building an internal champion, and keeping follow-up momentum from one meeting to the next. The manager also briefs senior closers before important meetings.
The role is not purely inbound. The manager is expected to make cold calls and lead early client meetings when needed, and to get comfortable with how the company prices its results-linked and guaranteed-savings offers. Client feedback is passed to product, technology and operations teams, and the manager may help build client-specific demos with product colleagues.
It suits a salesperson or consultant with several years of enterprise, business development or client-facing analyst experience, who is comfortable with ambiguity, can discuss AI without coding, and wants a path toward a closing or sales leadership role, or toward business operations.
Responsibilities
- Run structured discovery to uncover client pain points, current workflows and readiness for AI.
- Chart the people who decide, influence or block in each client account, and keep engagement alive between senior meetings.
- Help identify and develop an internal champion who advocates for MAS inside the account.
- Support MEDDPICC-style qualification alongside the senior closer.
- Make cold calls and lead early client meetings where a deal needs them.
- Own follow-up after each client conversation, including next steps and objections.
- Contribute early pricing input on deals, using per-minute, slab-based, pilot and risk-sharing models.
- Prepare account context, stakeholder maps and next steps for senior closers.
- Feed client and market insight back into the sales playbook, product, technology and operations.
Requirements
- Four to seven years in enterprise selling, GTM work, consulting, or client-facing business development or analyst roles.
- Strong discovery and analytical skills to unpack a client's problem and current workflow.
- Willingness to phone prospects cold and to lead first meetings with clients.
- Ability to write clear meeting notes, stakeholder maps and summary briefs after client calls.
- Basic commercial acumen to reason about pricing structures.
- Real interest in AI and new technology, with no coding expected.
- High ownership and follow-through over weeks or months of deal work.
- Comfort working without established playbooks.
Qualifications
- Exposure to Indian mid-market or enterprise clients is ideal.
- Familiarity with MEDDPICC or similar account qualification frameworks is a plus.
- Prior experience building or presenting product demos is a bonus.
- A strong academic or professional track record of excellence.
