Job Description
InMobi is hiring a Manager or Senior Manager for Finance Transformation in Bengaluru. The role is full-time and on-site, and it is a permanent position rather than an outside consulting engagement. It works directly with finance function owners and closely with the CIO organization to redesign how finance work gets done and to build the systems that support it.
The first part of the job is process re-engineering. The manager facilitates focused workshops with finance owners, maps current processes to find steps to remove, redesign or automate, and defines a modular future-state process design that can handle growing volume. The manager then turns those designs into clear requirements for product and engineering teams.
After a module goes live, the role owns adoption. That means checking whether the system is used as designed, uncovering gaps, building the case for later versions, encouraging behavior change alongside system change, and monitoring per-module measures that show real outcomes rather than activity.
The posting looks for a working grasp of finance domains such as transactions, closing the books, reporting, compliance, business finance and FP&A, without requiring specialist depth in every area. It also looks for curiosity about better ways to work, structured thinking that makes progress with incomplete information, a strong finisher, a translator who can speak both finance and technology, and comfort using AI as an everyday working tool.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate focused workshops with the owners of finance functions to chart how work flows today
- Identify steps to eliminate, redesign or automate and define a modular future-state design
- Turn process designs into clear requirements for product and engineering teams
- Own post-go-live adoption and track whether systems are used as designed
- Build the case for later versions of each module based on observed gaps
- Set and monitor per-module measures of outcomes rather than activity
- Coordinate closely with the CIO organization on system delivery
Requirements
- Working grasp of finance domains such as transactions, closing the books, reporting, compliance and FP&A
- Structured thinking for complex, undocumented, relationship-driven processes
- Curiosity about whether there is a better way to do things
- Strong follow-through: tracks adoption and closes loops after launch
- Ability to translate between finance and technology teams
- Comfortable treating AI as a daily working tool for research, synthesis and drafting
