Job Description
CODEPATH LIMITED operates as an educator for college computer science students in the United States, partnering with major technology companies and collaborating with Anthropic on the Claude Corps fellowship program. The organization seeks a part-time remote Mentor for Claude Corps to act as a technical coach for fellows placed at various host organizations.
This position is designed for engineers who prefer guiding twenty developing developers through practical production tasks rather than building features independently. Mentors oversee approximately ten pods, delivering asynchronous and written code reviews, tracking participant progression, and supporting cohort milestones from the program start through completion. The position suits professionals possessing multiple years of software engineering experience who utilize AI-assisted development tools.
The mentor reports directly to the Senior Manager of AI Practice. Responsibilities include reviewing code pull requests, facilitating 1:1 check-ins, delivering curriculum modules, coordinating milestone evaluations, and communicating recurring technical roadblocks to the appropriate leadership teams. Candidates must be comfortable working remotely across United States time zones with occasional evening session commitments.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of approximately 10 pods containing about 20 fellows across multiple host organizations.
- Review pull requests and provide written feedback on architectural proposals, roadmaps, and business reviews.
- Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with assigned fellows to document successes and challenges.
- Lead milestone reviews at designated intervals and coordinate syntheses with the Senior Manager of AI Practice.
- Facilitate curriculum modules and co-lead practical assessments with Anthropic instructors.
- Surface recurring technical obstacles and risks to leadership, curriculum teams, or host-org managers.
Requirements
- Possess two to four years of professional software engineering experience on a real team.
- Demonstrate formal or informal coaching and mentorship experience.
- Read unfamiliar pull requests in various code stacks to provide specific feedback.
- Ship production work using AI-assisted development tools.
- Function as a generalist coach who can quickly source answers or direct experts.
- Maintain strong written communication skills for asynchronous feedback.
- Ability to fulfill remote synchronous obligations across US time zones including select evening sessions.
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a teaching assistant, bootcamp coach, fellowship mentor, or instructor.
- Background working in a small or scrappy organization translating business context into technical choices.
- Familiarity with at least two areas including web full-stack, data engineering, machine learning, or infrastructure/devops.
Core Skills
Benefits
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90 percent employer coverage for employees and dependents.
- Employer-funded healthcare reimbursement, flexible spending accounts, and Employee Assistance Program.
- 401(k) retirement plan along with employer-paid life and disability insurance.
- Generous paid time off, paid holidays, and ten weeks of fully paid parental leave.
- Annual year-end company closure from December 24 to January 2.
- Annual professional development stipend of 1000 dollars and home office setup support.
- Qualifying employment status for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
- Additional perks including pet wellness plans, legal services, and insurance discounts.
