Job Description
PetLab Co. is hiring a mid-weight Video Editor and Producer to create AI-driven performance ads from a remote position in the USA. The company is a direct-to-consumer maker of pet supplements with nine-figure revenue, and this role strengthens its in-house creative team. Core pay, including base and bonus, is $58,000 to $70,000 a year.
Output goes to Meta, TikTok and YouTube, and each piece starts from a brief prepared by creative strategists and is judged on conversions. Tasks include writing opening hooks, keeping the pace brisk, adding captions and calls to action, and exporting in multiple aspect ratios so buyers can launch quickly. The editor would also draft direct-response scripts, propose new concepts informed by performance numbers, combine user-generated, creator, stock and AI-generated footage, and produce AI avatar and voiceover content using platforms like Veo, Kling, Runway, HeyGen and ElevenLabs. Building test variations of winning ads and reviewing CTR and CPA numbers, along with hook and hold rates and ROAS, are also part of the job.
The posting estimates roughly 60 percent of time goes to editing and AI production, 25 percent to scripting and strategy, and 15 percent to testing and analysis. Applicants need at least four years of video editing, including two years on paid social campaigns for direct-to-consumer or ecommerce brands. A portfolio showing AI-generated ads, with the tools used and the applicant's specific contribution, is mandatory. Expert command of Premiere Pro or CapCut is needed, while Experience with motion graphics, DaVinci Resolve or After Effects is an edge. The posting rules out portfolios that consist only of generic, YouTube-style, cinematic, corporate or wedding edits. Work with pet or wellness-focused brands earns a notable bonus.
