Xsolla seeks a Middle or Senior Backend Engineer to join the Xsolla ZK team on a remote basis. This position suits an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to design backend systems powering NFT marketplaces, smart wallets, and blockchain gaming infrastructure. Core technical functions involve building scalable blockchain infrastructure and Web3 services like the Xsolla Bazaar NFT marketplace, the Web3 Backpack smart wallet, and diverse blockchain microservices.
The role requires heavy focus on Go development, distributed systems, resilient microservices architecture, and database integration. Candidates will work with modern messaging queues, APIs, and containerization platforms while tackling challenges in ZK Stack integration, Account Abstraction backend services, and smart contract interaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services in Go utilizing ethkit and go-ethereum for RPC integration and Ethereum interactions
- Integrate with ZK Stack infrastructure including EraVM, system contracts, and L1 to L2 messaging
- Build and maintain wallet backend indexing integrations for webhooks and real-time token balance tracking
- Design APIs for NFT marketplace and orderbook services encompassing on-chain order matching and settlement flows
- Implement smart contract interaction layers utilizing abigen-generated Go bindings for token standards
- Build Account Abstraction backend support for UserOperation monitoring, paymaster gas sponsorship, and session keys
- Develop blockchain event scanners with reorg handling for Ethereum, Polygon, and Xsolla ZK chains
- Implement Backend-for-Frontend services that coordinate complex multi-chain operations
- Design caching and indexing strategies using Redis and MongoDB for on-chain data
- Write comprehensive integration tests alongside local ZKsync test environments
- Document APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger specifications
- Monitor production systems and troubleshoot blockchain-specific edge cases
Requirements
- At least two years of commercial Go experience
- Strong understanding of MongoDB and PostgreSQL query optimization and indexing
- Experience using Redis for session management and caching
- Knowledge of message queues such as NATS or RabbitMQ
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs with OpenAPI and Swagger
- Understanding of microservices architecture patterns
- Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration basics
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab CI and CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of distributed systems concepts
Qualifications
- Experience with Ethereum and EVM blockchain integration via go-ethereum and RPC nodes
- Smart contract interaction experience through ABI bindings
- Understanding of transaction lifecycles, gas estimation, and nonce management
- Knowledge of ZK Stack and ZKsync Era execution models and native Account Abstraction
- Working knowledge of ERC-4337 Account Abstraction standards
- Familiarity with signature schemes including EIP-712, ERC-1271, and WebAuthn or passkey signers
- Exposure to Account Abstraction infrastructure providers for wallet, indexer, or transaction-relay integrations
- Knowledge of token standards such as ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155
- Experience with blockchain event processing, reorg handling, and finality
- Understanding of DeFi concepts and NFT marketplace mechanics
- Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
