Responsibilities
- Perform deep exploratory testing on complex user paths encompassing document handling, pricing, and eligibility across multiple roles
- Develop and maintain E2E and API test suites using Playwright and TypeScript within CI pipelines
- Maintain suite reliability by eliminating flaky tests, managing selectors, and keeping regression testing fast
- Manage the QA board, test plans, and release regression processes to grant deployment approvals
- Investigate issues in production environments using error tracking and logging platforms to reproduce bugs and provide actionable tickets for developers
Requirements
- Three to five years of quality assurance experience combining manual and automated testing
- Hands-on test automation expertise using Playwright with TypeScript or JavaScript
- Familiarity with Git and CI tools such as GitHub Actions
- API testing proficiency using Postman, pytest, or similar tools, alongside solid SQL skills for database verification
- Comprehension of financial industry mechanics including money flows and compliance standards
- Daily utilization of AI coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot for test creation and data generation
- Proven background in remote work including testing and shipping from a home office with strong written communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English for both written and live communication
Qualifications
- Experience within the United States mortgage industry
- History of building quality assurance frameworks from scratch, including test strategy and management in Jira and Confluence
- Familiarity with performance testing using k6
- Foundational knowledge of security testing
- Proficiency in Python
