The company is seeking a NetSuite ERP Consultant to join its team in a remote, full-time capacity. This professional will focus on enterprise ERP platform implementation, configuration, and enhancement while splitting time between Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) engagements and direct delivery work. The position requires a candidate with strong financial systems expertise who can evaluate designs supporting general ledger, financial close, internal controls, and reporting requirements.
Key duties involve planning project kickoff meetings, evaluating vendor statements of work, verifying stages of NetSuite programs, leading full-lifecycle ERP implementations, configuring financial and accounting modules, building custom solutions using platform scripting and tools, and designing system integrations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare for project kickoffs by defining IV&V approaches, scopes, success criteria, and risk expectations
- Review vendor statements of work and proposals for clear scope, testable requirements, and potential gaps
- Advise clients on NetSuite architecture, implementation approaches, vendor selection, and program governance
- Verify and validate all stages of NetSuite programs from requirements gathering to go-live readiness
- Lead full-lifecycle implementations of enterprise resource planning systems
- Configure ERP modules across finance, accounting, billing, revenue recognition, procure-to-pay, and order-to-cash
- Design and build custom solutions using platform tools, scripting, and extensions such as SuiteScript and SuiteFlow
- Develop and support third-party integrations with CRM, banking, billing, and payroll platforms
- Perform data migration, cleansing, mapping, and validation from legacy software
- Build reports, dashboards, and financial analytics for FP&A and operational reporting
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in enterprise resource planning systems configuration, development, or implementation
- Strong finance and accounting domain knowledge covering general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and revenue recognition
- Hands-on NetSuite experience across financial and transactional modules including configuration, workflows, and scripting
- Strong integration experience using APIs, middleware, or integration platform as a service tools
- Experience with data migration and financial data mapping
- Experience managing full implementation lifecycles from requirements to go-live
- Solution architecture experience with the ability to translate business and finance requirements into technical solutions
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments within multi-vendor programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency with NetSuite SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and SuiteTalk
- NetSuite certifications such as ERP Consultant or SuiteCloud Developer
- Salesforce ecosystem integration experience
- Experience with revenue recognition, project accounting models, NetSuite OneWorld, or SuiteBilling
- Experience with multi-entity or global enterprise resource planning implementations
- Background with financial reporting tools or data warehouses
- Certified Public Accountant designation, Master of Business Administration, finance degree, or accounting background
- Familiarity with comparable platforms like Certinia, Oracle, SAP, Workday Financials, or Acumatica
- Experience in consulting or systems integrator environments as a solution architect or workstream lead
- Exposure to IV&V, QA, or test engineering practices such as IEEE 1012
