Nirvana Insurance is seeking a New Programs Development professional to help build its next generation of insurance programs as the company expands beyond commercial auto. Operating as a remote, full-time role with a preference for San Francisco, the position reports directly to the General Manager. Nirvana utilizes an AI-native platform incorporating real-time telematics data to transform commercial insurance operations, having raised over $270 million with backing from investors such as Lightspeed, General Catalyst, and Valor.
This relationship-driven position suits an experienced insurance professional who can leverage an existing industry network to identify market opportunities, connect with underwriting leaders, and establish capacity partnerships. The successful candidate will help shape a diversified multi-line platform from the ground up by originating opportunities, building business cases, and managing a continuous pipeline from initial introduction through launch.

Responsibilities
- Grow and maintain a network across reinsurance brokers, fronting carriers, MGAs, and underwriting leaders to represent Nirvana in the market.
- Source program opportunities through industry channels, research, and professional relationships.
- Manage a continuous pipeline of opportunities across multiple lines of business from first introduction to launch.
- Develop business cases and assist in securing capacity by working with reinsurers, fronting carriers, and company leadership.
- Collaborate with senior management to define portfolio strategy and select new lines and niches.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of experience in insurance within reinsurance brokerage, MGA program development, fronting-carrier business development, or related areas.
- An established professional network across reinsurance brokers, fronting carriers, MGAs, and underwriting leaders.
- Demonstrated track record of originating, structuring, or launching programs and driving relationships.
- Experience using AI to scale sourcing, research, and pipeline management.
