This full-time, on-site role based in Minna, Niger State, Nigeria steers growth and new-business initiatives for One Acre Fund's Nigeria program toward its 2030 goals. The senior associate sets a five-year expansion strategy, identifies new states and revenue streams, and leads each new state entry from scouting through handover to regional leadership.
The position also manages four permanent staff, tracks expansion KPIs and reports go or no-go recommendations to senior leaders. It suits an experienced leader with a strong academic background who is ready to travel to expansion states.
Responsibilities
- Draft a five-year expansion roadmap and new business models, with staged state entries
- Lead end-to-end entry into new states, from security assessment to handover
- Manage the expansion calendar so each entry rests on validated evidence
- Track KPIs and report progress and go or no-go calls to leadership
Requirements
- More than seven years in related work, with at least three years heading multi-department teams
- Bachelor's degree at minimum; a postgraduate qualification is preferred
- Fluent English; Hausa speaking is strongly preferred
- Ready to live in Minna and take assignments lasting as long as eighteen months
