The organization is currently hiring a remote Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its virtual care team on a full-time basis. This position is suited for an empathetic Advanced Practice Provider who thrives in a flexible, on-demand setting and wants to guide patients through the healthcare system with clarity.
In this role, the provider investigates medical root causes through video and secure chat, formulates precise diagnoses using remote tools, and orders or interprets laboratory tests. Responsibilities also include issuing electronic prescriptions, explaining medication usage and side effects, and collaborating with physicians and fellow clinicians. The standard work schedule consists of four 10-hour days with rotating weekends, featuring an available shift from 12 PM to 10 PM MST.
Responsibilities
- Investigate underlying medical issues through video or secure chat
- Formulate precise diagnoses utilizing patient history and remote diagnostic tools
- Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests via digital platforms
- Issue electronic prescriptions and explain administration and side effects to patients
- Partner with physicians, other advanced practice providers, and extended team members to coordinate care
- Adapt to virtual care challenges with patient-centered solutions
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted advanced practice provider license
- Minimum of five years of independent clinical practice managing patient care in a family, primary, or urgent care setting
- Demonstrated background in delivering virtual care through digital platforms, including urgent visits, chronic care follow-up, and mental health discussions
- Proficiency in coordinating patient care plans alongside a broader clinical team
- Strong digital literacy and communication skills
- Reside in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, or Texas
- Availability to work four 10-hour days including rotating weekends, specifically the 12 PM to 10 PM MST shift
Qualifications
- Nurse practitioners must hold a compact nursing license and possess certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred
