Responsibilities
- Manage and implement descriptive epidemiologic studies to evaluate disease incidence and prevalence across the US, EU, Asia, and emerging markets.
- Conduct research projects analyzing prospective observational cohort studies, medical claims, and electronic health records.
- Deliver safety research support throughout product lifecycles, contribute to risk management plans, and drive pharmacovigilance studies.
- Perform literature reviews and draft research reports and scientific manuscripts.
- Monitor developments in observational research and drug development.
- Advocate for the use and understanding of observational research methodologies.
- Share significant scientific findings with various audiences.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, OR Master's degree with 3 years of scientific experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 5 years of scientific experience, OR Associate's degree with 10 years of scientific experience, OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of scientific experience.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Epidemiology or another field with a strong focus on observational research.
- Background in designing, executing, and analyzing observational research studies within public health or pharmaceutical settings.
- Prior involvement in research supporting drug development.
- Familiarity with secondary data systems including administrative claims, electronic medical records, and registries.
- Demonstrated skill in planning and managing observational research projects.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Experience operating in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Background in rare disease research or inflammation therapeutic areas.
