Mega Market (Pvt) Ltd is hiring a full-time, on-site Panel Beater for its Vehicle Workshop. The person in this position will handle vehicle body restoration, repairs, and spray painting to maintain fleet standards and availability. This role reports directly to the Workshop Foreman and suits individuals with a background in motor vehicle body repair who can manage metal shaping, alignment, and paint finishing.
Responsibilities
- Inspect damaged vehicles to evaluate needed body repairs
- Remove, repair, and replace damaged doors, bumpers, panels, and components
- Straighten dents and align vehicle bodies using proper tools
- Cut, shape, and weld metal sections to fix damaged bodywork
- Repair rusted areas and fabricate replacement body sections
- Prepare surfaces for spray painting via sanding, filling, masking, and cleaning
- Mix paints and match colors for a consistent finish
- Apply primers, topcoats, and clear coats while managing drying times
- Remove and refit body accessories during the repair process
- Inspect final panel alignment and paint work, polish areas, and fix defects
- Maintain and clean painting equipment, spray guns, and panel beating tools
- Log completed work and note extra material needs or defects
- Adhere to safety, health, environmental, and quality regulations, and utilize personal protective equipment
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in vehicle body repairs and panel beating
- Minimum of 5 O Levels, including Mathematics and English
- Recognized trade qualification in Motor Vehicle Body Repair or Panel Beating
Qualifications
- Completed apprenticeship
- Experience working with commercial vehicles, buses, and trucks
- Skills in spray painting, surface preparation, panel alignment, welding, and metal shaping
