CeSHHAR Zimbabwe seeks a full-time Peer Educator Supervisor based in Victoria Falls. The organization collaborates with various academic and community partners, funders, and academic institutions, implementing a National Key Populations program across Zimbabwe on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the National AIDS Council.
This role involves implementing community-based social and biomedical HIV interventions geared toward high-risk populations. Responsibilities center on leading demand creation, information education, and counseling. Key duties include recruiting, supporting, and supervising microplanners, conducting community outreach activities at identified sites and hotspots, handling stakeholder engagement, and executing program reporting, documentation, and data entry.

Responsibilities
- Recruit and supervise senior microplanners, microplanners, and other community cadres
- Monitor community mobilization meetings, site health education, and hotspot mapping
- Conduct regular outreach visits to hotspots to distribute STI and HIV preventive packages
- Educate high-risk populations on transmission risks, prevention, and testing benefits
- Facilitate condom distribution and demonstrations, and conduct weekend and night outreaches
- Manage stakeholder mapping, networking, and representation at district or site meetings
- Write monthly, quarterly, and annual program reports along with supervision documentation
- Enter microplanning, condom usage, link log, and community mobilization data into databases
Requirements
- At least one year of relevant post-graduate working experience
- Demonstrable experience and interest in community outreach work
- Ability to perform community mobilization
- Skill in building rapport with personnel from implementing partners
- Capacity to work independently as well as within a team framework
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- High respect for confidentiality and a commitment to the CeSHHAR Safeguarding Policy
Qualifications
- A degree in social science or its equivalent
- Five years of experience as a junior outreach worker as an alternative to formal qualifications
- Experience working in the NGO sector
- A counseling diploma and experience in HIV and AIDS counseling
