Job Description
Tamara, a fintech platform active in Saudi Arabia and across the Gulf, is hiring a full-time People Operations Associate in the United Arab Emirates. The role is on-site and acts as the first person employees reach, from pre-boarding through off-boarding. It mixes routine HR work with UAE labour-law compliance and works with the PRO team, finance, IT and insurers.
The associate handles onboarding from start to finish, keeps employee files compliant with internal policy and data-privacy rules, collects hiring documents, arranges IT setup and schedules orientation. The role also liaises with the PRO team on entry visas, work authorizations and Emirates ID processing.
Employee support is another major area. The associate serves as the HR help desk and replies to questions within 24 hours. Tasks include issuing HR letters, salary certificates and no-objection certificates, adding dependents to visas, and handling Golden Visa paperwork for staff and their families. Tracking visa, Emirates ID and contract expiries keeps renewals on schedule.
The job also covers benefits administration, including medical insurance enrolments, claims and deletions, reconciling monthly invoices and recommending benefit improvements from employee feedback. Off-boarding tasks include collecting assets, removing system access, completing visa cancellations and providing end-of-service letters and guidance on final payments. Policy documents are refreshed as UAE labour rules or free-zone requirements change, and records stay ready for audit.
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or a closely related area, with two to three years in HR operations or as a People Associate in the UAE. A working understanding of UAE labour legislation, free-zone rules and visa procedures is expected, along with proficiency in HRIS platforms and office tools. Clear written and verbal English is required, and Arabic is a plus.
