Enumerate is hiring a remote PHP & React Software Engineer to modernize core platform infrastructure and develop a new mobile application within their software and payments ecosystem. This position requires balancing two distinct responsibilities: constructing mobile-facing features and APIs using PHP and React Native, and diagnosing and resolving issues within an established vanilla PHP codebase to maintain daily stability for customers.
The ideal candidate is an experienced developer who enjoys untangling complex business logic and legacy systems while simultaneously driving forward new mobile product initiatives. Team members collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Support departments to ensure reliable functionality across both web and mobile environments, utilizing AI-assisted coding instruments like GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor during daily workflows.
This is a full-time remote position open exclusively to candidates residing in the LATAM region. Total compensation ranges between $3,000 and $3,500 USD per month. Applicants should be comfortable working independently in a remote setup while shifting focus between building new functionality and providing production support.
Responsibilities
- Build and launch a new React Native mobile application and develop supporting PHP APIs and services
- Establish mobile development patterns and oversee features from design discussion through release
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production bugs within a vanilla PHP application
- Analyze error reports, logs, and monitoring data to uncover root causes and deliver regression-safe fixes
- Partner with QA and Support teams to replicate reported user issues and verify solutions
- Engage in code reviews, technical talks, and utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate tasks
Requirements
- Demonstrated professional background as a PHP engineer delivering software to production
- Practical React Native experience with at least one application deployed to the App Store or Google Play
- Background in creating and consuming REST APIs for web or mobile users
- Capacity to troubleshoot and repair defects within large or legacy code systems
- Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Familiarity with version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing
- Experience incorporating AI-assisted coding utilities into everyday development tasks
- Residency in the LATAM region for this remote opening
