Job Description
Mindrift is hiring actively practicing physicians for a remote, project-based AI evaluation program. The employer connects specialists with project-based artificial intelligence opportunities for major tech companies, focusing on testing, evaluating, and improving AI systems. In this role, clinicians will review clinical electronic health record vignettes across various body systems, grade benchmark item quality, and write short rationales based on clinical facts. This engagement suits US-based physicians interested in part-time, non-permanent tasks that involve real clinical complexity and help refine the medical AI tools they may use in the future. Participants should expect an estimated workload of 10 to 20 hours per week during active project phases, though this is not a guaranteed workload. Compensation is determined per accepted task, with faster completion rates scaling up to the equivalent of 100 dollars per hour depending on the achieved qualification tier.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate electronic health record vignettes paired with questions, proposed answers, and distractor trap answers across multiple bodily systems
- Score the clinical reasoning quality of benchmark items, assessing accuracy, completeness, answer correctness, and trap quality
- Verify whether reasoning chains arrive at answers using vignette facts alone, correct reasoning traces, and write brief rationales
- Participate in independent blind reads and subsequent physician adjudication processes
- Meet project deadlines and satisfy acceptance criteria for all submitted tasks
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted United States medical license verified with the issuing medical board
- Completion of residency training or possession of board certification
- Recent direct patient care experience
- Broad diagnostic and treatment experience across multiple organ systems
- Strong written English proficiency at a C1 level or higher
Qualifications
- Attending-level professional background
- Background in internal medicine, family medicine, emergency medicine, or hospital medicine
- Prior experience in medical AI evaluation, clinical content review, exam-question review, or medical annotation and quality assurance
Benefits
- Compensation paid per accepted task with rates up to the equivalent of 100 dollars per hour based on efficiency and qualification tier
