Job Description

Mindrift connects specialized professionals with project-based opportunities to test, evaluate, and refine artificial intelligence systems for major technology companies. This remote, part-time position engages actively practicing physicians to assess clinical electronic health record vignettes for a specialized medical artificial intelligence evaluation initiative. The work centers primarily on internal and general medicine.

Selected practitioners review clinical vignettes paired with proposed answers and distractor traps across multiple body systems, including cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, digestive, urinary, reproductive, musculoskeletal, hematologic, and integumentary. Contributors score benchmark items for clinical reasoning quality, verify whether logical chains derive solely from vignette facts, and write brief rationales. The workflow involves three independent blind reads followed by physician adjudication.

This role suits US-based physicians seeking non-permanent, project-based work who want to contribute to the improvement of future medical tools. Participants typically dedicate between ten and twenty hours weekly during active phases, though workload depends on project demands and output must meet specified acceptance criteria and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assess clinical electronic health record vignettes along with proposed and distractor answers across various body systems
  • Score benchmark items regarding diagnostic and treatment tasks for reasoning quality, accuracy, and completeness
  • Examine reasoning chains to verify they stem strictly from vignette facts and write concise rationales
  • Participate in independent blind reads and physician adjudication processes

Requirements

  • Hold a medical degree as an MD or DO
  • Maintain an active, unrestricted US medical license verified through the issuing medical board
  • Reside in the United States and have recent direct patient care experience
  • Demonstrate strong written English proficiency at a C1 level or higher
  • Submit all assigned tasks by the designated deadlines

Qualifications

  • Possess board certification or completed residency training, with an attending-level background preferred
  • Bring broad diagnostic and treatment expertise across multiple systems from internal, family, emergency, or hospital medicine
  • Demonstrate prior background in medical artificial intelligence evaluation, clinical content review, exam question creation, or medical annotation and quality assurance

Benefits

  • Compensation paid per accepted task with rates up to the equivalent of $80 per hour depending on qualification tier and task efficiency
