Job Description
Mindrift engages specialists in project-based artificial intelligence opportunities for leading technology firms, concentrating on testing, reviewing, and enhancing artificial intelligence systems. The organization is seeking a remote Physician to participate in a medical AI evaluation project focused on clinical electronic health record vignettes. This role suits actively practicing physicians who want a flexible, time-limited assignment that can accommodate an active clinical practice.
In this position, professionals will review written clinical case materials without any patient contact or malpractice exposure. Tasks involve assessing electronic health record vignettes paired with questions, proposed answers, and distractor traps covering multiple body systems such as cardiovascular, nervous, respiratory, and musculoskeletal fields. Contributors will grade the quality of clinical reasoning, verify whether logical sequences reach conclusions from vignette details alone, and compose brief rationales while participating in blind reads and physician adjudication.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate clinical electronic health record vignettes paired with questions, proposed answers, and distractor traps across multiple organ systems
- Score the clinical reasoning quality of benchmark items, including vignette accuracy, answer correctness, and trap quality
- Examine whether reasoning chains reach answers using vignette facts alone and write short rationales
- Complete tasks within three independent blind reads followed by physician adjudication
Requirements
- Medical degree such as an MD or DO
- Active and unrestricted US medical license
- Board certification or completed residency training
- Recent direct patient care experience, with attending-level preferred
- Broad, multi-system diagnostic and treatment experience in fields like internal, family, emergency, or hospital medicine
- Strong clinical reasoning abilities covering differential diagnosis, next-step management, and evidence-based guidelines
- Strong written English proficiency at a C1 level or higher
Qualifications
- Prior experience in medical AI evaluation
- Experience with clinical content or exam-question review
- Background in medical annotation or quality assurance
Benefits
- Compensation per approved task at a flat rate equivalent to about $100 per hour
- Higher pay rates for quality assurance and adjudication tasks
- One-time onboarding reward of $50 paid after the approval of the first production task
- Potential additional earnings for high-quality approved tasks
- Flexible schedule allowing contributors to choose when and how much to work
