Mega Market, a fast-moving consumer goods company based in Mutare, is currently hiring two Plumbers to join its Construction Department. This full-time opportunity requires professionals to execute plumbing installations, maintenance tasks, and repair assignments across company facilities and construction projects. The appointed individuals will ensure that water supply and drainage systems remain fully functional while adhering to established safety protocols and technical standards.
Reporting directly to the Construction Supervisor or an assigned Line Manager, the role suits practitioners who can interpret technical drawings, diagnose system faults, and collaborate effectively with other construction trades. Candidates must possess practical experience in plumbing work, maintain organized workspaces, and coordinate material requirements efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair water supply pipes, drainage lines, fittings, and plumbing fixtures
- Locate and fix leaks, blockages, and general system faults
- Interpret basic plumbing drawings, measurements, and layouts
- Test completed installations for leaks and functional operation
- Determine material needs and manage tools responsibly
- Collaborate with other trades to meet project deadlines
- Follow safety, health, and environmental guidelines while keeping work zones clean
- Handle additional related tasks designated by the supervisor
Requirements
- At least one to two years of practical work experience in plumbing maintenance, repairs, or installations
- Familiarity with drainage systems, water supply, fault diagnosis, and plumbing materials
- Capability to operate independently or within a team while prioritizing safety and quality
- Reliability, good communication skills, and the capacity to handle pressure
