Job Description
This senior post in London sits in Tide's Ongoing Monitoring department and centres on building, drafting and maintaining financial crime policies. The scope covers AML, counter-terror funding, sanctions screening, fraud controls and anti-bribery work. The lead works with compliance, risk and operations staff so policies satisfy UK expectations, including FCA rules, MLR 2017 and JMLSG guidance, and so they describe how the company genuinely operates.
Work spans the full policy cycle: drafting, review, version control, sign-off and periodic refreshes. The lead keeps the control framework coherent, linking each control to the rules it satisfies, tracks updates from the FCA, HM Treasury, OFSI and JMLSG and converts them into revised procedures. Gap analysis, remediation plans, help with audits and regulatory exams, and advice to the wider business belong to the role, as does contributing to financial crime risk assessments.
Substantial experience in financial crime compliance, especially policy or control framework design at a firm regulated in the UK, such as a bank, a payments business or a fintech, is required. Strong drafting ability, senior-level influence, and skill in horizon scanning and gap assessment matter. Time spent helping with internal audits or regulators' examinations is strongly preferred. The role is full-time and on-site.
