Sylogist seeks a full-time Portal Functional Consultant to join the Victim Services Suite team on a remote basis. The organization develops SaaS software solutions for educational institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. This position involves direct client engagement to support portal implementations within the Victim Services Suite.
This role suits professionals with a background in business analysis or functional consulting who enjoy working directly with customers and technical delivery teams. Responsibilities include running discovery sessions, outlining specifications, creating wireframes, and mapping CRM functionality. Candidates must be comfortable validating system behavior, supporting user testing, and ensuring final implementations align with client specifications.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate client-facing discovery meetings to capture portal needs
- Record specifications and build wireframes based on client requests
- Partner with CRM Functional Consultants to establish user stories and acceptance criteria in Azure DevOps
- Map CRM configurations for the portal
- Coordinate with Portal Developers, Project Managers, and implementation team members
- Inspect portal builds to verify alignment with recorded requirements and wireframes
- Assist with user acceptance testing by examining features and retesting software defects
- Confirm that the portal satisfies client business requirements
- Keep implementation documentation accurate and current
Requirements
- At least 5 years of functional consulting or business analysis background
- United States citizenship with the ability to pass an FBI background check
- Client-facing experience gathering and recording business and functional needs
- Background in creating user stories and wireframes
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Verbal and written communication skills tailored for client interactions and documentation
- Capacity to partner with technical staff and manage multiple tasks
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM
- Background in government software deployments, jail management systems, Department of Corrections, or victim services
- Knowledge of data exchanges involving criminal justice systems, court systems, or jail management systems
- Experience assisting with data migration tasks
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and Azure DevOps
