Job Description
This full-time, on-site principal role is based in the United States, with the posting giving priority to Seattle, Washington and to the Bay Area in California. It is a hands-on individual contributor position in Elastic's Ecosystem Architects group, focused on two of the most significant AI providers, OpenAI and Anthropic. The architect owns the technical strategy and the partner relationships with both.
The work involves building as well as leading. The architect drives co-build efforts through deeper integrations, identifying which integrations would strengthen both partnerships. The architect weaves Elastic's retrieval, security and observability strengths into how those providers build for enterprises. Output includes reference designs and working demos that present Elasticsearch as the retrieval backbone for agent-based AI, giving builders a direct path to grounded, governed context.
The architect acts as Elastic's named technical contact in both ecosystems. That includes maintaining an executive-level cadence to set priorities and investment, and keeping product, engineering, field and alliances teams informed about what the partners are doing. Signals gathered from the partners feed into the product roadmap.
Evangelism is part of the position. Joint briefs, how-to guides and co-branded assets are written by the architect, who also presents at AI-oriented partner gatherings and developer conferences and coordinates with marketing so integrations become field-ready material. Travel of about 30 percent to partner offices and events is expected. The posting describes Elastic as a search AI company used by more than half of the Fortune 500.
