This role suits an experienced technologist with deep hands-on expertise in cloud computing, container orchestration, and reliability practices. The selected candidate will partner with software engineering and architecture groups to improve developer experience, establish service-level objectives, and elevate delivery standards through automation, security controls, and robust asset management. Responsibilities
- Define the technical roadmap for resilient, scalable, and secure cloud platform services that boost productivity and customer results
- Lead the modernization of legacy infrastructure and guide application developers toward modern, service-based deployments
- Establish reliability metrics such as service-level objectives, observability, operational readiness, and incident response procedures
- Raise delivery standards via safer deployment strategies, data protection, strict asset management, and enhanced security controls
- Build self-service capabilities, feedback loops, and internal tooling to improve engineering productivity
- Mentor engineering personnel and influence architecture, execution standards, and technical culture across teams
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of experience building and operating critical platforms within DevOps, infrastructure, cloud, or software engineering
- Principal-level judgment covering architecture, scalability, reliability, security, observability, and operational excellence
- Advanced expertise in AWS across networking, compute, storage, identity, containers, serverless, messaging, and data services
- Hands-on proficiency with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, GitOps tools like ArgoCD, production scripting, and source control
- Ability to contribute to cross-functional architecture forums and shape platform investments through collaboration
- Demonstrated capability to mentor senior engineers and foster a high-accountability engineering culture
