The organization is currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer for its Marketing Technology team on a remote basis. In this position, you will function as the technical lead and guide the architectural evolution, execution, and strategy for the company's public web platform and primary digital flagship. Partnering closely with the Senior Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of global web infrastructure performance and spearhead the firm's Agentic AI strategy by implementing intelligent autonomous systems, multi-step workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines. This opportunity is well-suited for an experienced technologist with a strong background in web engineering, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI patterns who excels at collaborating across product, marketing, and engineering divisions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the technical architecture, scalability, and performance of the global digital flagship, focusing on Core Web Vitals, internationalization, and edge caching.
- Design and deploy production-grade agentic AI systems, multi-agent loops, and retrieval-augmented generation pipelines.
- Collaborate with the Senior Engineering Manager to turn business roadmaps into maintainable code and scalable architectures.
- Oversee third-party marketing platform and CRM integrations while protecting web performance and security.
- Establish engineering standards, perform architecture reviews, and mentor engineers across full-stack web and AI patterns.
- Work alongside DevOps and platform groups to maintain CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and automated cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive software engineering experience.
- At least 2 years serving in a Tech Lead, Staff, or Principal Engineer capacity for high-scale web platforms or distributed services.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying autonomous AI agents and LLM-powered workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or custom solutions.
- Deep proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, modern front-end frameworks such as React and Next.js, and backend development with Node.js or Python.
- Solid understanding of rendering paradigms, CDN and edge platforms like Cloudflare or CloudFront, APIs, and cloud environments like AWS, Docker, and Terraform.
- Strong collaboration skills to bridge technical and non-marketing stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Prior background within the Marketing Technology space, including headless CMS platforms like Contentful, A/B testing engines, and conversion rate optimization.
- Experience integrating enterprise CRMs, marketing automation engines, and data pipelines such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Segment.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA, web accessibility standards like WCAG, and enterprise compliance standards like SOC 2.
