This remote position is open to candidates based in the U.S., with a preference for time zones overlapping with the U.S. East Coast. In this full-time role, the professional will shape the tools that IT administrators, managed service providers, and security teams utilize to configure and oversee Bitwarden deployments. The position centers on simplifying intricate administrative tasks, such as managing member access, enforcing security policies, and designing analytical dashboards like Access Intelligence. The selected individual will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow designers while incorporating artificial intelligence tools into standard workflows. A portfolio showcasing end-to-end digital product design work is mandatory for applicants.
Responsibilities
- Design interfaces for administrators within the Admin Console and for managed service providers via the Provider Portal
- Streamline organization setup, member invitations, group organization, and access control
- Develop policy and configuration settings covering single sign-on, user provisioning, and directory synchronization
- Build reports and dashboards such as Access Intelligence to surface and address exposed or reused credentials
- Construct event logs and activity views to facilitate audits and investigations
- Organize large datasets so they remain simple to filter, scan, and act upon
- Produce user flows, prototypes, and production-ready assets through the Bitwarden design system
- Apply AI design tools to support and scale research, rapid prototyping, iteration, and ideation
- Partner with product teams to investigate emerging concepts including agentic workflows
- Participate in usability tests and administrator interviews while reviewing customer feedback
- Share designs during critiques and present findings to engineering and product stakeholders
Requirements
- At least 2 years of product design experience or equivalent background
- Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work on digital products
- Demonstrated interaction design skills encompassing sketching, wireframing, and prototyping
- Proficiency using Figma and working inside a component-based design system
- Background in designing data-heavy interfaces like dashboards, tables, reports, or settings pages
- Familiarity applying AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, V0, or Figma AI, alongside prompt-writing capability
- Front-end development background or experience prototyping in code using AI tools
- Interest in shaping AI features while managing related trust and usability considerations
- Passion for and understanding of open source, cybersecurity, and online privacy
- Capacity to distill complex requirements into clear, usable workflows
- Effective communication abilities and a collaborative working style
Qualifications
- Experience designing enterprise SaaS or B2B products, particularly admin consoles
- Background in data visualization and reporting design
- Familiarity with identity and access management principles including role-based access control, SCIM, and SSO
- Experience building for security teams, IT administrators, or managed service providers
- Background in designing privacy, identity, or cybersecurity products
- Experience designing features powered by artificial intelligence
- Familiarity with accessibility standards like WCAG and Angular component libraries
