In this remote position, the person in the role will direct how radiologists review, compare, and interpret medical images while helping healthcare systems manage imaging operations across multiple sites. This position is well-suited for a seasoned healthcare technology professional who understands clinical reading workflows, enterprise PACS operations, and commercial software delivery. The work involves establishing product roadmaps, guiding cloud adoption, defining viewer capabilities, and collaborating closely with engineering, design, and clinical stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-performance diagnostic tools.

The person hired will manage product direction from initial discovery through market launch and ongoing adoption, focusing on efficient user navigation, dependable data routing, and seamless integration with reporting and AI applications. Responsibilities also include building business cases, mentoring team members, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards. The working environment encompasses the United States and Canada, with travel required for customer visits, implementation reviews, and industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Define technical capabilities for hanging protocols, series navigation, measurements, and annotations.
  • Establish priorities for image ingestion, routing, storage, retrieval, and lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with worklist, reporting, and AI product leads to maintain patient context across tools.
  • Specify requirements for cloud deployments, legacy PACS coexistence, and archive migration.
  • Set performance benchmarks for large-study responsiveness, series loading times, and service reliability.
  • Create investment proposals and assist with pricing, positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Supervise and mentor product managers and product owners while aligning cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in healthcare technology
  • Minimum of 7 years working in product management with direct responsibility for PACS or diagnostic viewer products
  • Proven track record of bringing commercial imaging software to market
  • Practical familiarity with DICOM, DICOMweb, HL7, FHIR, and IHE workflows
  • Experience managing cloud or hybrid imaging solutions alongside complex customer deployments
  • Background in leading distributed, cross-functional teams and engaging with senior stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, health informatics, business, or a related field
  • Experience modernizing legacy PACS or transitioning customers to cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with mammography, tomosynthesis, or advanced subspecialty workflows
  • Background in integrating AI results, structured data, and reporting solutions into diagnostic applications
  • Exposure to medical-device product development, clinical validation, and quality management frameworks
