Job Description

CoLab is a technology company headquartered in St. John’s, Newfoundland, that develops artificial intelligence software to support mechanical engineering teams. The company helps manufacturers like Bobcat, Triumph Motorcycles, and GE Appliances streamline design reviews and capture decision rationale. CoLab has grown to over 250 employees following a $72M Series C funding round and recognition by Deloitte.

CoLab is hiring a full-time Product Manager for the Build Forge team to oversee how the software integrates with third-party systems used by mechanical engineers. In this role, you will direct the product strategy for connecting CoLab with tools such as CAD and PLM systems, aiming to simplify engineering workflows. Responsibilities include shaping the product roadmap, prioritizing enterprise integrations, and collaborating with design and engineering departments. This position suits product professionals who possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering lifecycles, revision control, bills of materials, and engineering software environments. General-purpose SaaS product experience without mechanical engineering workflow familiarity is not a fit for this opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive the product roadmap for Build Forge, focusing on CAD, PLM, and enterprise integrations.
  • Investigate and understand customer workflows related to BOMs, revision management, engineering changes, and design collaboration.
  • Convert complex user requirements into distinct product specifications and measurable results.
  • Work alongside Engineering and Design to build reliable and intuitive platform features and integrations.
  • Weigh individual customer integration requests against scalable solutions that serve the wider user base.
  • Guide product choices using user feedback, usage metrics, and business objectives.
  • Work with Customer Success and internal teams to foster product adoption and drive ongoing improvements.

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of product management experience, preferably in technical business-to-business software.
  • Possess solid domain knowledge regarding CAD, PLM, or Mechanical Engineering Lifecycle workflows.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with platforms including PTC Windchill, Siemens Teamcenter, Autodesk Vault, or Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE/ENOVIA.
  • Understand engineering data structures, bill of materials, change management, and revision control.

Qualifications

  • Experience with CAD plugins, ERP connectivity, engineering workflow automation, or PLM integrations.

Benefits

  • Attractive compensation package including stock options
  • Extended health benefits
  • Unlimited paid vacation
  • RRSP and 401K matching
