Expel seeks a full-time Product Manager, Detection Pipeline to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of its platform's detection infrastructure. This remote position operates within the United States. The person in this role will own normalization, correlation, automated detections, and suppressions, shaping the platform that turns raw security data into actionable signals.
This opportunity is well-suited for a product manager who is comfortable navigating complex data flows and bridging technical concepts between security operations, engineering, and sales teams. Expel offers ownership over a foundational product area, an experienced cross-functional team, and work aimed at improving customer safety.
Key duties involve defining the six-month vision, prioritizing the roadmap using customer feedback and market signals, collaborating with engineering and UX, and communicating value across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete lifecycle of the detection pipeline, encompassing normalization, correlation, automated detections, and suppressions
- Develop and prioritize the roadmap by combining inputs from internal teams, customers, market dynamics, and competitive research
- Partner with engineering and UX departments to guide execution from the six-month vision through to product launch
- Communicate product value clearly to the SOC, detection engineering, sales, customer success, and other stakeholders
- Work alongside product marketing to share pipeline value both internally and externally
Requirements
- Possess two to four years of product management or directly relevant experience
- Understand product management and software engineering procedures ranging from requirements gathering to launching
- Demonstrate familiarity with security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and firewalls
- Bring broad knowledge regarding cloud environments like AWS, Azure, and GCP, alongside associated security risks
- Exhibit strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Hold authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
