Job Description

Versapay is seeking a remote Product Manager, Documentation Systems to oversee and improve its accounts receivable platform documentation. The company provides a B2B payment automation ecosystem connecting finance teams, customers, and business systems, serving over 10,000 customers and processing hundreds of billions annually.

In this role, you will treat documentation as a product by managing in-platform help materials, implementation guides, support runbooks, and release notes across the platform and embedded applications. You will design and build an AI-assisted documentation pipeline while establishing evaluation processes to ensure content accuracy, defining information architecture, and setting style standards. This position requires hands-on technical creation, working alongside product management and engineering teams as a peer, and exercising independent judgment where AI tools fall short.

This opportunity is well-suited for a professional with a background in product management, technical program management, developer experience, or support engineering who enjoys building automated workflows and solving complex enterprise problems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire documentation surface including in-product help, implementation guides, support runbooks, and release notes
  • Establish information architecture prioritized by customer search habits and common obstacles
  • Define and track metrics for documentation freshness, release coverage, search failures, and related support volume
  • Design and build an AI-assisted pipeline that generates drafts from tickets, pull requests, release artifacts, and recorded demos
  • Create evaluation protocols to catch incorrect AI-generated content before publication
  • Automate change detection, terminology enforcement, style rules, screenshot captures, and publishing workflows
  • Partner with product and engineering to incorporate feature behavior into the definition of done
  • Establish terminology and style standards across multiple ERP surfaces
  • Design detection and revalidation processes to keep documentation updated when ERP interfaces change
  • Write human-authored content such as migration guides, error taxonomies, and integration behavior descriptions

Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience owning an outcome in product management, implementation or solutions consulting, technical program management, support engineering, developer experience, or technical enablement
  • Demonstrated experience automating your own work with comfort using Git, the command line, and external codebases
  • Practical experience shipping real solutions using a Large Language Model and evaluating its output for correctness
  • Direct experience interacting with customers facing difficulties through implementation, support escalation, consulting, professional services, or training
  • Ability to learn complex products independently without specifications and recognize points of confusion
  • Proven ability to influence product managers and engineers without having direct management authority
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage a large scope of work independently

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with MadCap Flare authoring tools
  • Deep familiarity with complex enterprise systems such as an ERP or accounting platform
  • Experience with docs-as-code or CI-driven publishing
  • Exposure to B2B fintech, payments, or accounts receivable
