Steampunk is seeking a Product Owner/Application Lead to operate in a remote capacity for a government client consulting setting. The company functions as a change agent in the Federal contracting industry, serving Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health, and Department of Defense sectors through a human-centered delivery methodology.
This position involves collaborating with technical architects and developers to convert business needs into Salesforce-based solutions. The professional in this role will lead application delivery efforts, maintain administrative functions within the platform, and manage user accounts, data access, and security settings. Candidates should expect to be on camera during interviews and assessments for identity verification and fraud prevention purposes.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects and developers to translate business requirements into Salesforce platform solutions
- Develop, test, document, and maintain implementations, integrations, and data migration elements using declarative or programmatic resources
- Execute test plans, write test code, and perform unit tests to maintain quality delivery
- Adhere to coding standards and join code reviews to follow design patterns
- Lead application delivery efforts, overseeing quality and securing client acceptance
- Manage Salesforce administrative functions such as user accounts, profiles, roles, security, data access, workflows, sharing rules, and permission sets
- Administer standard and custom fields, map them across integrations, and analyze database issues
- Help train new users and expand application knowledge
- Build and deploy tools to streamline processes, drive efficiency, and enhance key metrics
- Monitor new Salesforce features and evaluate potential internal adoption
- Handle complex client scenarios while offering business and technical direction to client executives
Requirements
- US Citizen eligible for a Federal Government clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technology and leading consulting services
- Demonstrated background in leading the deployment of enterprise and custom software solutions in client settings
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude and ability to navigate cultural diversity
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Experience working with product owners to gather business needs and turn them into Salesforce user stories
- Experience delivering Salesforce projects using Agile methodologies, leading grooming sessions, building the product backlog, managing sprint ceremonies, and executing testing
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree, preferably in Information Technology
- PMP certification
- Scrum Master certification
