Job Description
VetsEZ is hiring a Project Scheduler for a fully remote, full-time post on a large federal healthcare modernization program. The scheduler constructs, watches and maintains detailed plans for IT initiatives, helping project teams keep timing, dependencies and resources in step so work stays within scope and budget.
The scheduler works with project managers and technical staff to define tasks, time frames and resource requirements, and monitors progress across several simultaneous IT efforts. Agile teams are part of the setting. Schedule documents and status reports are prepared for leadership and stakeholders, and periodic planning sessions gather updates and adjust the plans.
Analytical work includes critical path reviews, detecting schedule risks and slippage, and watching resource loading for clashes and choke points. When issues appear, the scheduler proposes mitigation options alongside project managers and takes on additional duties that support team goals.
The listing asks for a four-year degree in project management or an adjacent area and at least five years as an IT project scheduler or in a similar field. Fluency with Microsoft Project or a comparable scheduler is required. Experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs or other federal agencies, and PMP or PMI-SP credentials, are listed as extras. U.S. citizenship is required, and the company says it cannot provide sponsorship at this time.
