Precor is a fintech product company operating for a decade, focused on building software that helps organizations streamline and automate their purchasing workflows across various internal divisions. Serving upwards of 1,000 clients spanning over 80 countries, the firm is seeking a Python Developer to join the Payments Team in a remote capacity.
This position centers on expanding the payment infrastructure and maintaining integrations with Stripe. Selected candidates will concentrate on building out the payment module, including corporate card features, transaction handling, and other financial operations utilized globally. The role suits engineers who appreciate a trusting environment without micromanagement, value honest teamwork, and want to contribute meaningfully to a widely used fintech product.
The hiring process consists of a resume review, a 45-minute recruiter discussion, and a one-hour technical interview with the hiring manager.
Responsibilities
- Build brand new features for the payment module
- Maintain and expand integrations involving Stripe
- Write clean, maintainable, and high-grade code
- Engage in technical discussions to discover optimal solutions collaboratively
Requirements
- One to three years of experience writing Python code
- Solid grasp of object-oriented programming, typing conventions, and clean code standards
- Practical background using background jobs and message queues like Celery, Redis, and RabbitMQ
- Familiarity with Flask or comparable web frameworks
- Practical working knowledge of SQL
- Experience handling REST APIs, Docker, and Git
- Ability to work with existing codebases, suggest improvements, and take ownership of choices
Qualifications
- Experience dealing with third-party integrations
- Knowledge of Swagger and OpenAPI
- Basic familiarity with PHP and Symfony
