Evertz is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join its India team as part of the Overture quality assurance group. In this full-time, remote or hybrid position based out of Manyata Tech Park in Bangalore, the chosen candidate will help deliver reliable software for the global broadcast technology industry. Evertz Microsystems is a Canadian-headquartered multinational leader supplying cutting-edge hardware and software solutions to television networks, streaming platforms, telcos, and satellite providers worldwide.
This role focuses on building and running automated tests, examining test outcomes, debugging issues, and working alongside developers and quality assurance colleagues located in both India and Canada. The position is well-suited for a technical professional who possesses a solid grasp of Linux systems, programming capabilities, and an eagerness to master complex hardware and software ecosystems. Working hours for this role are from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM IST.

Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and maintain automated test scripts
- Analyze test execution failures and document bugs thoroughly
- Review test source code and contribute programs to boost overall testing efficiency
- Collaborate with developers to verify software bug fixes
- Partner with quality assurance team members across India and Canada
- Prepare documentation for automated testing procedures and generate detailed reports
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional work experience in a quality assurance role
- Strong proficiency in Python programming
- Demonstrated background in test automation
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with Linux systems administration and Ubuntu operating systems
- Proficiency in bash coding
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Willingness to learn a large-scale system that combines hardware and software interactions
- Solid time management and organizational capabilities
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Understanding of software testing processes such as ISTQB Foundation or equivalent experience
- Acquaintance with AWS
