This role suits professionals interested in modern payment and disbursement workflows on a high-impact financial platform. The person selected will help establish strong automation coverage to protect the reliability and stability of the system. Candidates need to be available for collaboration during Eastern Standard Time hours.
The position centers on building and managing automated test frameworks for web applications, APIs, backend components, and external integrations. The engineer will execute various testing suites covering unit, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios, along with performance, load, and scalability evaluations. Collaboration with product, DevOps, and engineering teams is a key component to resolve bugs and elevate testing standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain automated testing frameworks for APIs, web apps, backend services, and third-party integrations
- Develop unit, regression, integration, and end-to-end test suites to verify platform quality and reliability
- Construct automated tests addressing complex workflows, edge cases, data integrity, and state transitions
- Manage automated testing inside CI/CD pipelines using platforms like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions
- Perform load, performance, and scalability testing across core infrastructure to discover bottlenecks
- Document and track system vulnerabilities, performance flaws, and bugs while collaborating with engineering and product groups
Requirements
- Possess at least 4 years of QA Automation experience building and maintaining test frameworks
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in TypeScript and hands-on experience using Playwright
- Understand modern QA methodologies, testing best practices, and the software development lifecycle
- Bring practical experience with containerized environments like Docker and continuous integration pipelines
- Communicate effectively in verbal English with strong attention to detail
- Maintain availability for teamwork and collaboration during EST hours
Qualifications
- Prior background working in fintech, banking, payments, financial services, or related financial technology sectors
- Proficiency in the Russian language
