Discord is looking for a QA/DevOps Engineer to join its Business Systems team. Discord provides a communication platform that brings millions of active users together around video games and shared interests. In this capacity, the professional will manage automated test suite development across Salesforce and Oracle ERP Cloud, emphasizing Tosca regression and progression testing. The selected candidate will integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with technical, functional, and DevOps colleagues to guarantee reliable releases and early defect detection. This full-time position offers a base salary between USD 156,000 and USD 175,500 per year, alongside equity and benefits. The role is US-based and can be performed remotely, though employees residing in the San Francisco Bay Area have the option of working from the company office.
Responsibilities
- Run end-to-end QA automation suites for Salesforce and Oracle ERP Cloud during quarterly patch upgrades.
- Review new release features for Oracle and Salesforce to recommend testing process improvements.
- Build, update, and improve regression and progression test automation within the Tosca environment.
- Maintain Tosca scripts to reflect process and system changes across GL, AR, AP, and FAH modules.
- Lead feature enhancement reviews during quarterly patch assessment cycles and new enhancement projects.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to trigger regression suites automatically on every release candidate build.
- Collaborate with DevOps and ERP Technical teams to maintain test environments and infrastructure.
- Document test coverage, release readiness, and defect trends in Jira and shared reporting dashboards.
Requirements
- Possess 3 to 5 plus years of QA automation experience.
- Demonstrate hands-on Tosca experience for regression and progression test suite creation and maintenance.
- Have experience executing and maintaining automated test cycles for quarterly Oracle patch upgrades.
- Understand Oracle ERP Cloud and SFDC release feature review and technical impact assessment.
- Bring experience integrating automated test suites into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Maintain familiarity with pipeline configuration, version control workflows in Git, GitHub, or GitLab, and basic scripting in Python, Shell, or PowerShell.
- Use Jira for sprint participation, defect tracking, and test coverage reporting.
- Write and maintain test documentation including test cases, plans, regression logs, and release summaries.
Qualifications
- Hold an Oracle Fusion certification or formal training in Oracle ERP Cloud modules.
- Bring experience with SaaS QA automation inside a high-growth technology company environment.
- Have exposure to MuleSoft or OIC integration testing.
- Know Salesforce test automation frameworks beyond Tosca, such as Provar or Selenium.
- Possess prior experience working with managed services vendors or AMS in an ERP context.
- Show familiarity with Oracle quarterly release cycles and technical impact assessments.
- Have exposure to infrastructure-as-code or environment provisioning concepts like Terraform and Ansible.
