In this role, you will act as a consultant and investigative specialist, evaluating digital products for healthcare clients to bridge the gap between complex technical requirements and the end-user experience. Modea collaborates with large healthcare providers to build digital roadmaps and mobile, web, and other digital experiences that improve patient access to care.
This position is well-suited for a resourceful problem-solver who enjoys exploratory testing, diagnosing deep-seated defects, and integrating modern tools like artificial intelligence and automated frameworks. You will advocate for users by checking functionality, design, and accessibility standards across multiple platforms and browsers. The job involves collaborating closely with project teams and clients to mitigate risks and maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities
- Investigate product risks and advise clients and teams on quality improvements
- Perform exploratory testing across multiple browsers and devices to find and analyze root causes of bugs
- Advocate for end-users by verifying functionality, visual design, and ADA accessibility compliance
- Design and execute performance testing scripts using JMeter and validate service communication via API testing
- Evaluate web applications against core security fundamentals to find vulnerabilities
- Build and maintain automated test suites using Mabl and Appium while using AI-assisted tools
- Produce clear, reproducible bug reports and technical user guides for developers and stakeholders
- Oversee quality best practices across the development lifecycle from discovery to post-launch
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of context-driven testing experience or equivalent education
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Management, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Qualifications
- Prior background in healthcare or working for a consulting agency
- Familiarity with JMeter for performance benchmarking and API testing tools such as Postman
- Foundational knowledge of web security principles and Web Accessibility Guidelines
- Experience building or maintaining automated test suites
- Hands-on practice with modeling, test design, and working with mind maps
- Familiarity with Rapid Software Testing and using AI tools to enhance testing workflows
