SGS is seeking an R2R Accountant to handle general ledger, reporting, fixed assets, and inventory duties. Working alongside the team leader and senior staff, the incumbent will provide business unit general accounting and internal control support compliant with IFRS standards. This position involves creating and posting journal entries, managing bookkeeping duties, executing the month-end close process, and ensuring trial balance and general ledger account balances are correctly reconciled. The role suits an accounting professional with extensive general ledger experience who can maintain data integrity, support internal and interim audits, and assist with fixed asset verifications and inventory module management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and post assigned journal entries including cost redistribution
- Create, distribute, and maintain standard general ledger, fixed asset, and inventory reports for management and stakeholders
- Ensure data integrity and prepare financial information
- Perform periodic month-end closing activities such as maintaining close schedules and scheduling subsystem feeds
- Communicate trial balance finalization to customers and collaborate on annual and interim audits
- Maintain accountability for the standard chart of accounts and timely account analysis or reconciliations
- Manage inventory and fixed asset modules and related accounting entries
- Plan and execute fixed asset verifications
- Analyze account variances and facilitate balance sheet reconciliation reviews
- Support compliance, quality control, and service level agreement performance targets
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of related professional experience in general ledger accounting
- Strong comprehension of general ledger accounting processes and information systems
- Working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles
- Experience with fixed asset, inventory, and intercompany transactions
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word
- Ability to interpret financial data and manage general accounting functions

- Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
