This full-time on-site supervisory role at SGS is based in Alabang, Muntinlupa, Philippines, and reports to the Record to Report Manager. The supervisor leads day-to-day operations for general accounting, reconciliations, month-end close and reporting. The role also drives process maturity and continuous improvement across the function.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end R2R operations, including journals, bank and intercompany reconciliations, fixed assets and inventory accounting.
- Coordinate month-end close activities and manage dependencies with affiliates and cross-functional teams.
- Review and approve journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules, and resolve or escalate issues.
- Coach the R2R team, manage workload and report operational KPIs to the manager.
Requirements
- Eight to ten years of relevant experience in record to report, general accounting, financial reporting or shared services.
- Solid background in month-end close, balance sheet reconciliation and internal controls.
- Prior experience supervising or leading accounting teams.
Qualifications
- A degree in finance, accounting or a related field. A CPA or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel. Experience with Oracle Business Suite or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
- Experience with shared services set-up or finance transformation is an advantage.
