Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of prospective health plan clients and establish consultative relationships with executive decision-makers
- Drive the complete sales cycle for regional and national health plan opportunities from initial discovery to contract finalization
- Serve as an advisor to help clients utilize services for improved clinical outcomes and reduced cost of care
- Coordinate with product, implementation, clinical, and compliance teams to ensure successful onboarding and satisfaction
- Monitor healthcare policy, competitor activities, and payer trends to provide strategic internal feedback
- Assist with contract negotiations, regulatory alignment, and request for proposal responses
Requirements
- Three to six years of business development background within the health plan, payer, or managed care sector
- Proven history of meeting organizational growth targets
- Solid understanding of commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, and Exchange health insurance models
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities across clinical and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
- Willingness to travel when necessary
Qualifications
- Experience selling solutions related to digital health, population health, or value-based care
- Familiarity with provider networks, care navigation platforms, or member engagement programs
- Background in selling offerings utilized across fully insured and administrative services only populations
- Established relationships with regional and national health plans
