MedSpecialized, Inc. is hiring an Accountant to support its US-based client, SPACCatalyst, in a remote capacity. This position involves preparing and reviewing financial reports for publicly traded entities, ensuring strict adherence to SEC guidelines, US GAAP, and IFRS standards. Candidates will coordinate closely with external auditors and internal teams to manage quarterly and annual SEC filings.
The work schedule for this role is from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. The physical office location is on the 8th floor of the Skyrise 4B Building in IT Park, Lahug, Cebu City, Cebu, though the work arrangement is remote. This role suits detail-oriented accounting professionals with specific experience in US SEC reporting and transaction support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare timely financial statements and supporting schedules for SEC reporting entities
- Assist in preparing and filing Form 10-Q and Form 10-K reports
- Ensure adherence to US GAAP, IFRS, SEC regulations, and internal accounting policies
- Compile audit schedules and documentation for internal and external reviews
- Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Conduct financial statement analysis and account reconciliations
- Research and document technical accounting matters and new accounting standards
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather financial data for regulatory reporting
- Identify methods to improve reporting processes and reinforce internal controls
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in US SEC reporting
- Experience supporting or working on SPAC and/or IPO transactions
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
- Hands-on experience preparing, reviewing, or supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings and disclosures
- Experience preparing audit documentation and coordinating with external auditors
