Evidera seeks a Research Associate I to join its Patient-Centered Research group. This remote, full-time position operates on a standard Monday through Friday schedule. The organization functions as part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, supporting global clinical research, healthcare studies, and life-changing therapies through laboratory, digital, and decentralized services.
In this role, the team member provides scientific support for discrete tasks and may independently manage specific project responsibilities. Duties involve conducting literature searches, managing site activities, assisting with data collection, and helping with data analysis while maintaining regular communication with senior project team members. The position suits professionals with a background in healthcare research who possess a basic understanding of research methodologies and practical implementation skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare proposals, protocols, and reports through internet and literature searches
- Conduct literature reviews by abstracting data from scientific articles
- Conduct and coordinate site activities including recruitment, contracting, IRB submissions, and site management
- Handle data collection and management, such as conducting one-on-one cognitive interviews and co-moderating focus groups
- Perform data entry, review, and compile data collection tools
- Provide help with data analysis, including preparing qualitative code books and reviewing quantitative data tables
- Communicate regularly with senior project team members regarding project tasks
Requirements
- Master's degree in a scientific field with at least one year of experience, or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field with at least two years of experience in healthcare research
- Familiarity with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Atlas.ti, Access, InFormU, EndNote, PubMed/embase, and DataFax
