Planet seeks a Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager to guide the modernization, automation, and scalability of its global revenue engine. Operating at the intersection of ASC 606 technical standards, business systems engineering, and data analytics, this professional will lead cross-functional transformation across the entire Quote-to-Cash lifecycle. The person in this role will design automated revenue subledgers, streamline operational workflows, align cross-system data, automate financial disclosures, and act as the primary liaison for SOX compliance and audit processes.
This position suits a finance professional with a background combining Big 4 accounting and high-growth corporate finance. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in US GAAP, strong technical systems capability, and the cross-functional leadership skills needed to align stakeholders across Sales Ops, Legal, IT, Product, FP&A, and external audit teams.

Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and design of automated revenue subledgers
- Modernize end-to-end Quote-to-Cash workflows to minimize manual journal entries and shorten month-end close cycles
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate revenue data across ERP platforms, subledgers, and data warehouses
- Automate ASC 606 footnote disclosures and key financial metrics with automated reconciliations
- Partner with Product, Sales Ops, and Pricing departments to analyze the systems and revenue rules impact for new pricing models
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external auditors regarding revenue systems and process modifications
- Design, document, and test SOX application controls and risk matrices tied to system upgrades and product launches
- Ensure all automated rules, data pathways, and manual overrides comply strictly with ASC 606
- Maintain standard operating procedures and provide training to finance staff on updated system workflows
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in revenue accounting
- Demonstrated practical knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 standards within SaaS, recurring revenue, multi-element, or usage-based business models
- Hands-on experience with SOX 404 compliance, internal control frameworks, and leading audit walk-throughs for automated IT application controls
- Direct background in implementing, configuring, or managing enterprise ERP platforms and revenue subledgers such as NetSuite ARM and Salesforce
- Familiarity with enterprise data warehouses, BI visualization tools, and database query or SQL skills
- Proven capability in leading cross-functional project teams and executing complex system implementations on time
Qualifications
- Combined background in Big 4 accounting and high-growth corporate finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a comparable field of study
