Job Description

Integrated Complex Care MSO LLC is hiring a full-time Revenue Cycle Manager to support Integrated Complex Care Associates (ICC), a California physician group serving patients with complex health needs. This is the first full-time hire for the group, making it an ideal position for an independent professional who enjoys building processes from scratch. The position operates remotely from California, with required Pacific time business hours and occasional travel to physician offices across the state. The person in this role will take full ownership of billing, provider enrollment, and billing compliance. Key duties include reviewing and releasing Medicare claims, onboarding and enrolling physicians, reconciling payments and remittances, managing denials and appeals, and handling patient and provider billing inquiries. For coding, billing, and compliance decisions, the manager operates under the direction of ICC physician leadership while being employed through Integrated Complex Care MSO LLC. Candidates must possess significant experience with Medicare Part B professional billing, hands-on provider enrollment, and medical coding.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end provider enrollment including 855I reassignments, 855B practice locations, PECOS and NPPES updates, revalidations, and electronic funds transfer setups
  • Onboard physician offices, establish payer ID submission paths, and serve as the primary billing contact for practices
  • Review every outgoing claim to Medicare for proper CPT, HCPCS, modifier, place of service, units, and diagnosis codes before release
  • Monitor claims through the Stedi billing portal under the group TIN and track them through payment or denial
  • Conduct regular claims sampling against electronic medical records to verify documentation support and track error rates
  • Identify undocumented conditions using Nightingale HCC views, issue compliant queries to physicians, and provide targeted coding feedback
  • Post and reconcile Medicare 835 remittances, process rejections and denials, and handle corrections, reopenings, and appeals
  • Pre-call patients prior to their initial claim to explain billing statements and resolve any concerns
  • Perform monthly exclusion screenings on all rendering physicians and billing staff using OIG and SAM databases
  • Maintain billing and coding policies, oversee documentation audits, and ensure proper handling of Medicare overpayments under the federal 60-day rule

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Medicare Part B professional billing for physician groups
  • Hands-on background with Medicare provider enrollment procedures including PECOS, 855I, and 855B
  • Demonstrated expertise with claims management platforms or clearinghouses for submissions, rejections, and remittances
  • Practical experience in billing compliance including audits, exclusion screening, overpayment refunds, and HIPAA regulations
  • Reside in California with availability for Pacific time business hours and occasional statewide travel
  • Passing a background check, OIG and SAM exclusion check, and completing HIPAA training prior to system access

Qualifications

  • Current coding credential such as CPC or CPB from AAPC, or CCS-P from AHIMA
  • Preferred CRC certification for risk adjustment
  • Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and HCC risk adjustment documentation standards
  • Familiarity with Medicare Accountable Care Organization programs such as MSSP, ACO REACH, or LEAD
  • Bilingual communication skills in Spanish
