Feedzai seeks a Risk and AI Manager to join its Customer Success department on a remote basis. In this role, the incumbent will lead a distributed, cross-functional team consisting of Risk Consultants, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists managing six to eight active client engagements. The team collaborates with major financial institutions and merchants to build optimized fraud strategies, machine learning models, and risk logic using Feedzai's platform. The position requires guiding technical decisions, translating complex business objectives into actionable plans, mentoring team members, and collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Delivery departments.

Responsibilities
- Manage a distributed team of Data Scientists, Risk Consultants, and Business Analysts across approximately six to eight simultaneous client projects
- Ensure the delivery of rules, machine learning models, fraud detection strategies, and data analysis that align with corporate standards and client objectives
- Convert complicated business goals into data-driven solutions and clear technical steps
- Direct the integration and validation of real-time and batch analytics within client systems
- Assist team members in identifying performance issues, scoping improvements, and suggesting enhancements
- Coordinate with Engineering, Delivery, and Product groups regarding scope feasibility, performance needs, and long-term planning
- Provide mentorship, handle performance evaluations, and support career development through coaching and feedback
- Keep up to date with machine learning methodologies and emerging fraud patterns in real-world financial systems
Requirements
- Strong background in data science, fraud detection, or real-time decision systems
- Hands-on practice with data analysis, machine learning, and scripting languages such as Python or R
- Familiarity with big data platforms like Hadoop, Spark, or cloud-native data pipelines
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams in cross-functional delivery settings
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize under pressure, and translate between business and technical needs
- Strong communication and storytelling skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and client subject matter experts
Qualifications
- Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Math, Physics, Statistics, or another quantitative or technical discipline
- Background in financial crime prevention covering risk strategy, fraud, or anti-money laundering
