Job Description
This is a full-time Strategy and Operations manager role in London, dealing with courier and rider fraud and misuse across Deliveroo and Wolt. The post is an individual contributor role on a hybrid pattern that asks for three days each week in the London office.
The work converts analysis into practical action. The manager runs a programme that identifies, evaluates and ranks courier and rider fraud exposure, then designs policies, procedures and day-to-day responses that cut that exposure without hurting customers, riders or the wider business. The posting highlights measures that are proportionate, practical to carry out and appropriate to each market.
A large part of the role involves legal and regulatory questions. The manager partners with Operations, Trust, Data Science, Product, Public Policy and Legal colleagues to define requirements, settle trade-offs and bring agreed responses into force. Analytical duties include learning how couriers are engaged and rewarded, building detection signals, and checking over time whether a policy is working. Reporting and monitoring after launch are also included.
The posting suits someone with at least six years of background across fraud control, risk, compliance, policy, operations or consulting, who can merge data with operational knowledge and sound judgement. Turning complicated or unclear issues into workable rules and plans is central, as is strong stakeholder management and running several workstreams at a brisk pace. Comfort using AI-based tools for analysis is also expected.
