ArborBridge is hiring an online SAT and ACT Tutor to provide one-on-one instruction to students globally via Zoom. This remote, part-time position suits educators who enjoy personalized teaching rather than on-demand homework help, and who can effectively manage customized study schedules.
Tutors are expected to guide students through test preparation, build professional relationships with families, and communicate thoroughly with internal staff. The role requires proactive problem-solving to alleviate the stress of standardized testing for clients. Educators will create individualized learning timelines, assign targeted practice work, and track student progress through detailed session summaries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one private tutoring sessions with students worldwide using Zoom
- Design personalized test preparation plans for every assigned student
- Establish consistent schedules for instruction and practice examinations leading up to test dates
- Compose lesson summaries following each meeting to keep parents informed of progress
- Assign suitable amounts of practice work between instructional meetings
- Maintain regular communication with internal colleagues, program managers, and directors
- Build authentic working relationships with students, parents, and company staff
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of formal tutoring experience
- Demonstrate comfort tutoring all sections of both the SAT and the ACT
- Show familiarity with online teaching tools
- Complete approximately 18 hours of self-directed and manager-led training

- One year or more of formal tutoring experience is preferred
