Millennium Homes seeks Security Officers to safeguard its property, employees, and guests in Harare. This on-site role involves monitoring facilities, patrolling grounds, and managing site access.
- Conducts regular interior and exterior patrols to prevent unlawful acts.
- Monitors entry points and verifies credentials for personnel and visitors.
- Handles alarms, emergencies, and disturbances while logging daily incidents.
Responsibilities
- Patrol inside and outside areas frequently to discourage criminal behavior
- Inspect gates, windows, and doors for proper security after hours
- Grant entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles
- Check identification credentials and implement access control policies
- Investigate alarms, incidents, and emergencies rapidly
- Contact emergency services or police when required
- Escort unauthorized persons or rule violators off the premises
- Draft daily logs, incident reports, and surveillance summaries
- Help staff, visitors, and people requiring assistance
- Explain facility rules and procedures to rule breakers
Requirements
- Minimum of six months of prior experience working as a Security Officer
- Physical fitness, strength, and stamina to conduct patrols and handle incidents
- Capability to identify suspicious actions and evaluate risks
- Strong communication skills for reporting, interviewing witnesses, and dealing with the public
- Familiarity with safety procedures, emergency protocols, and relevant laws
Qualifications
- Ordinary level education
- Formal qualification in security services
