Green Fuel is hiring a Semi-Skilled Diesel Plant Fitter to focus on tractors and implements. This on-site role supports the workshop team by executing routine checks, preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing, repairs, and total rebuilds. The successful candidate will also respond promptly to unexpected equipment breakdowns and address them according to established safety and quality guidelines.

Workers in this role must follow strict standard operating procedures, interpret technical manuals accurately, and maintain clean and safe work areas at all times.

Responsibilities
- Perform component repairs based on manual specifications and direct instructions
- Conduct routine, preventative, and planned maintenance tasks with full adherence to standard operating procedures
- Respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns within designated timeframes and safety guidelines
- Disassemble and assemble machinery and accessories using correct tools and technical documents
- Execute rebuilds and overhauls for major equipment assemblies and accessories
- Manage and enforce workplace housekeeping and safety standards across all work areas
Requirements
- At least one year of practical field experience working specifically on tractors
- Class 2 or 3 trade tested Diesel Plant Fitter certification
- National Certificate in Diesel Plant Fitter or Motor Mechanic including tractor experience
- Ability to read and interpret user manuals properly
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
