Job Description
Genius Sports develops next-generation technology and live data products that create immersive, interactive, and personalized sports experiences for fans around the globe. The company is currently seeking a Senior Account Executive, Audience & Curation to join its Brands & Agencies organization. In this specialist individual-contributor role, you will act as the technical expert within a dedicated buyer-group pod assigned to major holding companies such as WPP, Publicis, or Omnicom.
This is a hands-on sales position where you will manage curation and audience revenue targets end-to-end. You will work directly inside your assigned holding company's trading desks and data organizations, building relationships across investment, programmatic, and curation teams. Your day-to-day involves establishing deal IDs, packaging inventory, mapping audience taxonomies, and troubleshooting technical execution blockers that impact deal scalability. You will also serve as the technical escalation point for your pod's vice president and account executives, turning technical insights into usable enablement materials and feeding deal-level friction back to product and engineering groups.
This position suits a driven, technically fluent sales professional with a strong background in programmatic advertising and data supply chains. Operating on an office-first, hybrid working model, the organization fosters an inclusive environment focused on collaboration, employee wellbeing, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage and exceed individual revenue quotas for curated deals and audience segments within your assigned holding company.
- Source, lead, and close agreements with trading, curation, and data teams from initial contact through commercial terms, taxonomy sign-off, and activation.
- Maintain accurate forecasts and pipelines using HubSpot or Salesforce.
- Monitor live and stalled deals, tracking activated items, distributed segments, and specific operational blockers.
- Integrate curated deal IDs and private marketplace packages into central trading units and agency-level programmatic teams.
- Operate fluently across major DSPs, SSPs, curation platforms, and holding company tech stacks to negotiate deal structures like floor pricing and match-rate guarantees.
- Resolve technical issues affecting deal scale, including throughput, win rates, discrepancy resolution, and deal-ID hygiene.
- Distribute, price, and make discoverable audience segments across DSP data marketplaces, LiveRamp, Snowflake, and identity frameworks.
- Partner with data-science and analytics teams on clean-room work, modeling, and measurement standards.
- Provide technical escalation support for pod leaders and account executives during client calls.
- Collaborate with ad operations, product, insights, and marketing teams to build case studies, benchmark reports, and post-campaign proof.
Requirements
- Possess four to six years of professional experience in programmatic advertising, audience data, agency trading, or on the sell side at an agency desk or platform.
- Demonstrate hands-on responsibility for generating revenue rather than solely executing tasks.
- Show thorough familiarity with the audience supply chain, including deal IDs, DSP and SSP mechanics, identity frameworks, match rates, clean rooms, and data-fee economics.
- Bring direct experience working with or inside a major holding company like WPP, Publicis, or Omnicom, including understanding their tech stack and approval processes.
- Exhibit working relationships with major holding company trading, curation, or data teams, or the ability to build them quickly.
- Maintain operating discipline with CRM hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and follow-through on operational details.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working at an agency trading desk, curation platform, SSP, DSP, data provider, or identity company.
- Background in sports media, sports data, or fan-engagement products.
- Familiarity with clean-room and data-collaboration environments such as Snowflake, LiveRamp, InfoSum, and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
- Knowledge of attention or outcomes-based measurement frameworks.
- Experience operating as a technical specialist supporting senior relationship sellers within a pod or account team.
- Background in ad operations or campaign management.
