Job Description
MediSpend is expanding its Revenue Management business and bringing on a Senior Account Executive to add new customers in life sciences. The role is fully remote and open to people located anywhere in the US. It is a greenfield assignment: the person develops a territory from nothing, centered on a named list of pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers.
The account executive designs and runs an account-based marketing program for each priority account, maps buying groups, and builds relationships with stakeholders in finance, market access, contracts, government pricing, trade, IT and the C-suite. Central to the role is discovery on gross-to-net issues, government pricing accuracy, compliance exposure, rebate and chargeback losses and process efficiency, followed by a quantified business case for executives. The person owns the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close, coordinates Solutions, Product, Implementation and Customer Success resources, keeps Salesforce records accurate, and delivers weekly and quarterly forecasts. The role also feeds competitor intelligence to the product and marketing groups.
Candidates should bring five or more years of quota-carrying experience selling B2B SaaS or enterprise software, a record of winning new logos, and at least three years selling revenue management tools to life sciences manufacturers. Familiarity with public-sector pricing rules, Medicaid, chargebacks, 340B, rebates and state price transparency filings is expected, along with experience building value-based cases for senior buyers. Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Challenger or Value Selling is preferred. The posting says this is a permanent full-time employee role, not a contractor position, with travel up to 25 percent. The base salary for Colorado and Washington applicants is listed at $100,000 to $150,000, plus incentive pay.
